Girls' Day

Germany

Several of our facilities in Germany regularly welcome female students onsite in celebration of Girls’ Day – a nationwide initiative where German companies explore various career opportunities with female students. Students in attendance have the opportunity to hear about our apprenticeship program and training options.

Young Engineers Program

Pennsylvania, United States

For more than a decade, over 500 high school students have been introduced to engineering through our Young Engineers Program. From learning rocketry to analyzing data, to engineering marvels and paper airplanes, students get a peek into what it’s like to be an engineer. 
 

#MFG Day

Ohio, United States

In celebration of Manufacturing Day, our Solon, Ohio, facility welcomed high school students onsite to show them first-hand what a career in modern manufacturing looks like.


 

United Way

North America

In total, Kennametal’s 2022 United Way campaign raised more than $600,000 in support of our local neighbors in need. Nearly 300 Kennametal team members volunteered more than 1,100 hours through the United Way and supported agencies throughout the year.
 

Bopang Kgotso Primary School

South Africa

Our Boksburg, South Africa, employees supported the education of young learners in the Vosloorus community by building four new classrooms and one storage room on campus. The Bopang Kgotso Primary School, located in a semi-urban area, supports learners in grades R-7 with 38 brick-and-mortar and eight mobile classrooms.
