SPF Drills • CFRP and CFRP Stacks

Split Point Fiber (SPF) solid carbide drills are specifically designed for machining Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers (CFRP) and CFRP stacks. These drills are an ideal solution for rivet hole machining in aerospace applications. The special point geometry of the SPF drills offers reduced friction and greater wear resistance. This design improves chip flow and the special point thinning increases centering capability, allowing for reduced thrust for improved hole quality. Additionally, these drills feature a CVD multi-layer diamond coating for increased tool life and improved chip flow.
